XXL Brand Identity

XXL magazine is an American magazine aimed at black teenage Americans. All XXL front covers contain a picture of a famous black singer. They do this so it appeals to its audience. A feature about this brand that shows good brand identity, is that the full masthead is not always on show. This means people still recognize the masthead even if there is only a small portion of the masthead on show. The bottom right magazine is a good example of this. People see the big X and instantly believe its that magazine. XXL is a big brand in America, so artists want to get there picture on the front cover as it gives any artist a good name. The brand is how they attract big names such as Chris Brown and 50 Cent.
